Sudipta Singh

Heading the firm Sustainable Buildings & Habitat (SBH) and also Asst. Professor in School of Architecture & Planning, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. She has more than twelve years of experience in Architecture, Environmental Planning and Green Building Consultancy. She was working with TERI (The Energy & Resources Institute, New Delhi) as senior research professional from 2008 to 2016 on various aspects of sustainable building & planning. Her core expertise has been design, analysis, simulation & research on climate responsive building, innovative day-lighting solutions, solar passive cooling along with green building rating facilitation & documentation. She was also GRIHA (Green rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) evaluator & trainer and has been associated throughout its evolution & development process. She led the team prepared the five volumes of GRIHA manual, evaluated several GRIHA projects & was a regular faculty member in the GRIHA training programs across the country. She had been facilitated and executed for over 50 projects in India through green building advisory/ consultancy/ documentation services for GRIHA, IGBC, LEED, ECBC etc. She had conducted more than 40 intensive capacity building programs on various aspects of green building as a coordinator as well as faculty during my tenure in TERI. Her last deputation from TERI was the project lead for TERI-PMU at Energy Conservation Cell of Energy Department of Odisha for the implementation of OECBC along with other energy conservation projects in Odisha. Currently She is consulting to TERI, PwC, IIT-Bhubaneswar, KIIT University, OPTCL, SWOSTI Group of Hotels and several other architects & construction agencies in Odisha. She is certified as a GRIHA Representative for Eastern Region, India by GRIHA Council, New Delhi. She was also a visiting faculty for the Masters in Urban & Regional Planning, College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar.

Sarbajit Singh

Architect & Manager

He is an architect and pursuing his master’s degree in urban & regional planning from College of Engineering & Technology, BPUT, Bhubaneswar with more than 2 years’ experience in various architecture and interior designing projects. He has been associated with SBH since beginning and has been managing the clients & projects. He has also substantial experience in designing educational campuses all over India. He is proficient in various software skills, such as – Microsoft, Auto CAD, REVIT, SKETCH-UP, PHOTOSHOP, ECOTECT etc. Currently apart from management of ECBC-Cells in BDA & CMC, he is the facilitating the IGBC green home rating for SWOSTI Chilika Project.

Pratyasha Tripathy

Project Officer, ECBC-Cell, BDA, Bhubaneswar

She is a PhD in Energy Security in Rural India. She has completed her B-Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M-Tech in Power and Energy Systems from KIIT University. Her masters research has been appreciated as an innovative and value-added work. She has contributed her research works to the field of Biofuels, Pyrolysis of rice husk, Dye-sensitized solar cells, operation of gasification unit, solar thermal generating systems, and solar water heaters among many others. Most of the publications focused on the simulation of Energy system using RETScreen, System Advisor Model, MATLAB and Cyclepad software. Her research works have been internationally acknowledged and published in 15 journals and conference proceedings including IEEE-XPLORE and Springer. She has also secured 1st Position at the University level research presentation. She is desirous to work in the field of advance renewable energy technologies. She has taken active role in more than 11 workshops on Solar Energy, Rural electrification, Energy conservation etc. and has organized National Workshop on “Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings as A Demand Side Management Initiative” under KIIT University in association with Department of Energy, EIC (Electricity) and SDA, Govt. of Odisha. She is a part of prestigious professional bodies like Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), and associate member of Indian Society of Lighting Engineers (ISLE) and Institute of Engineers India (IEI). She has been awarded with Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar in recognition to the outstanding performance in Research Activities. She has been associated with SBH since June 2016 and contributing her services in the renewable energy integration and resource recovery from waste in the green building projects. She is presently deputed as the Project Officer in Energy Conservation Building Codes (ECBC) Cell in Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) for the ECBC implementation work. Her primary role is the analysis & evaluation of the Electrical, Lighting & Solar Hot Water Systems compliances of ECBC.

Sambit Mahapatra

Project Officer, ECBC-Cell, BDA, Bhubaneswar

He is an architect and pursuing his master’s degree in urban & regional planning from College of Engineering & Technology, BPUT, Bhubaneswar. He has in-depth experience on the interior and architectural designing for more than 3 years. He has been associated with SBH since June 2016 and handling several green building projects, such as – Data Collection & analysis of KIIT Green Campus Project, ECOTECT Modelling of SWOSTI Chilika Resort Project etc. Currently he is deputed as the Project Officer of ECBC Cell at Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Bhubaneswar to work on the ECBC-Implementation task assigned by EU. His primary role is the assessment & evaluation of Envelope & Air-Conditioning Compliances of ECBC in Building Approval Process. In past he was awarded with Best Product Design and Interior design in various ZO-NASA, design carnival, 2011, Birla White Transparence and Adaptive Reuse of Buildings by Ar.Karan Grover. He is proficient in wide range of software skill set including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Photoshop and ECOTECT. He had worked as Architect with AP Associates and Space-Arch on various architectural design work, site visits & construction supervision etc. His major architectural project experience includes BPUT University Campus, Rourkela & Bhubaneswar, Kalinga Nagar industrial Housing, IDCO, Odisha State Medical Corp, Krushibhawan etc.

Amrit Preetam

Project Officer, ECBC-Cell-CMC, Cuttack

He is an Electrical Engineer with a Master degree in Power and Energy Systems from KIIT University. He has four years of valued experience in operation & maintenance of power plant sector. He worked in M/S ISPAT DAMODAR LTD as an Electrical Engineer in power plant division and handled the operation and maintenance of the whole power plant for three years. Then he switched to RASHMI METALIKS LTD as an Electrical Shift Engineer in power plant division to supervise the projects. With sufficient field experience on power systems now he is desirous to build his expertise in energy management & conservation system in building sector. Presently he has been deputed as the Project Officer in Energy Conservation Building Codes (ECBC) Cell in Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), Govt. of Odisha for implementation of ECBC in Cuttack City and his primary role is the details assessment and implementation of Electrical Compliances of ECBC.

Preetimohan Mishra

Project Officer, ECBC-Cell, CMC, Cuttack

He is an electrical engineer with master’s degree in Power and Energy System from KIIT University. He has contributed his research work towards the assessment of power quality in a three-phase grid connected solar PV system. His research work “Power Quality Assessment Using Empirical-mode Decomposition with Hilbert Transform Under Noisy Condition “has been internationally acknowledged and also appreciated as a valuable work. He has taken active role in many workshop on solar energy, energy conservation, energy conservation etc and has been core member of the organizing team of the national workshop on “Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings as A Demand Side Management Initiative” under KIIT University in association with Department of Energy, EIC (Electricity) and SDA, Govt. of Odisha. He is ambitious to do more research in renewable energy sector. He is presently deputed as the Project Officer in Energy Conservation Building Codes (ECBC) Cell in Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC). His primary role is the assessment and evaluation of Solar Hot Water Systems & Energy Efficient Lighting Systems in buildings as per ECBC Compliance.
